to be or not to be

Quoting from 'K One' taiwanese drama--'Shakespeare says 'To be or not to be- tat's a question'...hmmz...yesh...right now i'm thinking...shld i be wat i'm now or not?

alright...i'm having only slightly low self-esteem again...aiyahz...probably u can guess wat i'm fretting over...yes..it's my weight lohz...weight is always a sensitive topic for me...though i was getting used to how ppl look at me...i cnt be bothered when young...but at this age now...image is impt cos ppl are practical...even myself...i tried to lose weight which i did last time...it was successful somehow...but wasnt near my ideal weight at all...but take one step at a time mahz...i got positive comments like...'wah...u lost weight lehz...' 'not bad arh...look prettier liaoz..' ermz...i'm flattered but deep down...i noe tat's juz encouragement...cos there's obvious long way to go....moreover...my bro became my standard bar...he's always getting the attention wherever he goes (not joking lehz!)...there's once someone said 'u & bro dun look alike lehz...one heaven, one earth arh...' obviously i noe where i belong....simply ouch....=)

had a nice talk with ong last sat on the bus...and i was practically laughing madly over her 'being stalked' experiences...so i began to envy her exciting life (though to her it's dangerous...hehez)...and blurted out my desire to be stalked ( which i think it's a bit stupid now...hehez...)....i noe it's kinda impossible cos i dun have the 'guy appeal'...maybe i appeal more to gals & children...hehez...then ong was saying i shld lose weight & become a pretty gal...but it's not easy...or else y ppl almost lose their lives juz to lose weight...never heard ppl suffering from gaining weight...furthermore...i got an almost unrealistic dream...is to find a guy who likes the simple me despite i'm fat...but as wat ong says is true...the world is practical lohz...haiz...

so i come to a conclusion...i'll lose weight for my own sake...but of cos...at my own pace (cos need to indulge sometimes mahz!)...i may even stay chubby (i prefer cute image) forever...but who noes one day i'll go into 'lose weight' frenzy? it's my life so it's up to me lohz...=P (haiz...but i really gained some kilos these days...CNY is always like tat!)

Juz now had a party at my house...some of my relatives came to watch lion dance during afternoon at my house...it's not bad though i almost went deaf by the drummings...had a fun time playing cards, singing & eating again...i juz love gatherings cos normally we only organise & plan during CNY...juz once a yr...so i had a fun time...

looking forward to genting cum cameron highlands trip with ong, hui & shawn...cos it's my first overseas trip with frens only...we can actually plan ourselves which is like sooo cool...maybe after gaining some experience travelling on our own without adults ( though we are considered young adults...) we can go further places like thailand, japan, korea or taiwan!!!! hehez...

festive mood

it's a great time for celebration! *drum roll*...happy chinese new year!!! *drum roll* (again)....i got my pay at last!!! quite a huge sum...hehez...my hard-earned cash!!! *drum roll* (yes...again)...my internet is finally broadband! i can surf for unlimited hours and the speed is my....hell lot faster than dial up!!! YiPpPEEE!

i supposed i had a great CNY...though it's almost like a routine to me every single year...but nevertheless...i still enjoy myself cos i luv gatherings, food & ang baos...hehehz...it's really fun to chit chat with my cousins & maybe juz gamble for the sake of trying our luck...furthermore...it's also the time for u to doll urself up & look presentable...tat's basically what i did for the first day...haiz...but sadly to say...tat's also my first & last ang baos collection day...hehez...but i still had a 'fruitful' trip!

2nd day i went to my great aunt's house...i always luv to go her house cos she really bought many goodies...so i kept eating & eating...oh ya...& i drank my first glass of red wine which contains 10% of alcohol...haiz...i'm probably a lousy drinker...cos my whole face went red after 1 glass...but i'm still conscious...i juz felt very hot...hehez...

3rd day is the 'so called' temple trip...my mum wld drive the whole family to several temples to pray for everything...omg...the crowd was overwhelming since it's cny! i was almost suffocated & blinded my the incense smoke...there were even lion dance troupes tat even made me deaf due to the booming drums...but all these are part & parcel of praying process...hehez...

ooh...i went back to cchms a few days back with ping...nothing much had changed...except there's an extra security guard house...and a completely new cca block which made me sooo envious! the cca block is sooooo new & clean! u shld see the toilets...nice! facilities...cool! it's really heaven & earth lahz! i was grumbling why i wasnt born later...hahaz...but come to think abt it...the old cca block had it's eerie & special features tat the younger generation cldnt experience...so i shld be contented lahz... ping, ong & i also went to ate our fav katong laksa stall...the laksa still tasted good...hehez...& i really enjoy myself chatting with them on all kinds of topics...juz like old days...though we've grown older...the interesting past happenings in cchms, at sch bus stops, bubble tea shop, 7-11, pp...were still memorable!

been crazy over hua yang shao nian shao nu these few days...watching the episodes since cny...tat's y i sleep sooo late every night...i really LUV broadband & youtube!!! in tis way...i no need to catch the drama on tv every weekday when i'm working...hehez... da dong is soooo cute & dramatic...i also like ella's acting & wu zun is really handsome lahz...haiz...i still left last 2 episodes which have not been uploaded yet....but it's ok...i'm now watching an anime series...hehez...

gonna tell ya something...i really underestimate fei lun hai's popularity again...last fri...i went popular at pp with ong to check out the price of fei lun hai's pictorial bk...i was hesitating if i shld buy so in the end i decided to buy after i get my ang bao money...so today i went to kovan popular to buy the book...guess wat...SOLD OUT...alamak...i was shocked lahz...though i noe there'll still be stock at other outlets...i still didnt expect to be sold out in an outlet...it's juz the same situation like the CD!!!!! aiyohz...it's hard to be a fei lun hai fan arh....

very fast...it's already the third day of cny...no wonder ppl always say fun-filled & happy days are short-lived...lucky for me...i only start work on thurs...so i can enjoy one more day...yesh! (but sure got tons of stuff for me to do when work starts! haiz...) gonna go shopping with ping & meeting ong for lunch tml...now tat i'm slightly richer...really got the urge to pamper myself...hehez...

it's all abt the money $

cant think of any cool titles for this entry...probably my inner devil is money-faced...wahahaz...so it's not me...or maybe it's me...ok...this is getting a tiny weeny bit confusing....

most of us (me & frens) are working now...working for the exp to put in nice words...but for me...it's more for the money to enjoy? hahaz...to rather spend my time rotting at home...it's definitely a wise decision to move my butt off the couch & start working...so i slowly discovered the other side of me...yesh...a workaholic 'vanessa'....ppl say tat i'm hardworking to struggle between temp full time & part time jobs...y? hahaz..becos who'll refuse to earn extra cash? the truth reveals tat as u grow older...u tend to splurge more on comfort...ranging from clothes to food...and our age is beginning to deny our privilege of asking parents for money for self-indulgement....(u see...a few more yrs...21 yrs old=independence mentally & sadly....financially) sometimes i wish i'm still a kid...however...maybe it's more cool to spend ur own hard-earned cash...and u can really buy wat u like with no objections...but there's one more ironic thing...before we can earn money...we have to spend first to earn it...get it? ( office wear lahz...transport fee lahz...food fee lahz.....aiyohz...)

lately...i realised my company's office politics were getting a bit ermz...interesting? wat i'm facing in the office everyday are dreadful relationships...scandals!!...paparazzi....hahahaz...in schs...i always luv these stuff to the max...hehehez...cos i gossip mahz...but of cos office situation is different...i cant really give any comments (or else i'll be courting my own death lohz...) so all i do is observe & listen & analyse...luckily i'm a temp...not qualified to be their talk of the week...hehez...but soon all will come to the end....oh...i went back home with my senior on one of the days last week...we chatted and she's actually a nice person to talk to..but i'm still afraid of her somehow...maybe becos i treat her as my mentor/teacher...

yeah! meet up with pingz & ongz (miss them lots...esp ping lahz...cos i can see ong's face often :P) ytd for KBOX session at pp branch...we sang quite a number of songs & devour the klunch with delight...haiz...but this time we didnt drag the time...hahahaz...cos we feel paiseh lahz...i really like pp branch kbox...maybe better than hougang...cos the room & tv are bigger...we shld sing at more diff outlets...maybe can try the one at amk...or town area....later we went to popular to shop for ping's notebk...popular also brought back memories cos it's one of the main stops of pp for us...hehehz...last time my second home was pp (the shopping mall tat gave me a b3 for O levels eng! thanx so much!) during sec days...now it's hougang mall....hahaz...which mall will it be next?

juz had a terrific reunion dinner at my grandma's house hrs ago...i like my grandma's cooking...so i think i ate alot ( all the good food...abalone! sea cucumber! duck! roast meat!)...yesh...i also ate my 2007 first 'yu sheng'....very delicious cos many many slices of raw fish are added in...oh great...i'm getting into the festive mood....

haiz...this coming week will be sooo lonely...cos most of my colleagues took long cny leave...so i'll be only one left? wat's more scary? 'O' Levels results were out last fri...which means 'A' Levels results are coming out soon? *_*

Btw....Happy Valentine's Day (14 feb)....(another yr of signifying my singlehood....hahz!)

a.new.look. a.new.me.

chinese new yr is coming soon...50% anticipating--i can get more wealthy somehow (alright i'm practical..)...50% dreadful---irresistable food (my stomach is going on an eating spree...i've grown fatter since the start of 07! yikes!)...

hmmz...ytd went to get a haircut (juz trim to be exact) at EC House...yup the $10 10 mins haircut...of cos i'm worried initially cos i dun really trust the skills as compared to salons...but ironically...i'm quite pleased with the result...hahaz...cos it's simple & nice.. & cheap lahz...then i did a major change to my hair!! (one of my best features ok!) i dyed my hair!!! aaahhh....(lightning & thunder---ok i'm over-reacting...) it's actually DIY lahz...but not me...it's my mum who diy for me...but the hair colour (medium brown) wasnt very obvious lehz...unless i stand under the light....i juz feel tat dyed hair make me look more mature which wasnt my true intention...but i still like my new look somehow...cos i received good comments for my new hair look...hehezx....

last fri met up with ong & hui at hougang mall (our 2nd home liaoz...hahaz...) for dinner at pepper lunch...i suggested it cos i wanna try the food there...it's ok lahz...though i found it costly lehz...serving can be bigger...( u see! my appetite is growing like hell!) after tat...we shopped for some office clothes...i began to feel tat we were behaving like adults where frens meet up after work & shop for office clothes together...as sharing the same sentiments as hui....sch life is the life tat we still prefer somehow...we are still at the student league mahz....:P...but i'm still enjoying all the meeting ups!

wanna blog my second tuition session wif my student...this time is much better cos probably we had built a good rapport in the beginning & i did my 'homewrk' by drafting lesson plans...she's more comfortable with me & more willing to converse in mandarin (though we still use eng sometimes...hehez...)....i also see her improvement...so i'm quite happy...so i muz think of new ways to make her enjoy learning chinese...so guess wat...i'm gonna use lyrics...hope it's effective....actually we are more like frens lohz...cos we always chat after lesson...tat's gd...so i dun dislike ppl younger than me afterall...

abt my main job...haiz...i made mistakes...yikes...went to key in wrong info (cos i act smart lahz! haiz!)...but luckily my seniors are understanding...so now i'll always ask if i've any doubts b4 doing anything...or else i wont forgive myself lohz...but i'm still quite happy with my current job though it's super tiring...have to deal with papers! papers! papers! everyday...data logging can make u feel like sleeping lahz! however...i'm sorta given a new impt responsibility...which is to do payment....where i've to issue cheques...stress lohz...i'm kinda privileged cos temp staff are not supposed to write cheques...so i'm proud tat they trust me...hehehz...

yeah...i'm having reunion dinner this week...i noe it's a bit too early but dun ask me why cos i also dunno...but i'm looking forward to it cos i can hang out with my cousins...hehez...and of cos...the food...wahahahz...fat liaoz...oh ya....maybe there shld be a reunion dinner with my pals...right??? hehez....
